Core API – Vendor application URL and connection settings on integration configurations

Summary

Integration configurations returned by the Core API now carry the URL of the vendor web application each integration instance connects to, plus the non-secret connection settings that URL is derived from. You can link a configuration straight through to the vendor's own console — or build your own deep links from the underlying host name, base URI, and tenant identifier — without maintaining your own mapping of vendor to URL.

The API major version remains v1. This release is purely additive and backward compatible — both new fields are optional, and no existing field, filter, or sort behaviour changes.

New response fields

  • external_url on Integration Configuration

    • N/A → Returned
    • Type: addition
    • Notes: Each item returned by GET /core/v1/integrations/configurations now includes an optional, nullable external_url — the address of the vendor web application the integration instance connects to, derived from its connection settings (for example https://na.myconnectwise.net). The value is null when the vendor exposes no such URL (for example ServiceNow) or when the connection settings do not provide one, so treat it as optional when rendering a link. The URL never contains credentials.
  • connection on Integration Configuration

    • N/A → Returned
    • Type: addition
    • Notes: Each item returned by GET /core/v1/integrations/configurations now includes an optional, nullable connection object carrying the non-secret connection settings of the integration instance, for callers that build their own vendor deep links rather than using external_url. It exposes fqdn (the vendor connection address as configured, whose format varies by vendor), base_uri (base URL of the Autotask web application, as configured), and tenant_id (tenant or company identifier within the vendor instance) — each individually nullable. ConnectWise Manage and HaloPSA populate fqdn and tenant_id; Autotask populates fqdn and base_uri; all other vendors, including ServiceNow, return null for the whole object. Note that connection can be populated on an integration whose external_url is null, so it is worth reading when you need a link the API cannot render for you. The settings never contain credentials.
